Kundal Student Hostel

"Sown by the dream of a freedom fighter the student hostel was set up with the vision to provide an education to every child in the village of Kundal"

Titled “Jhep – The Leap” the proposed student hostel is a charity project sited at Kundal, Sangli, Maharashtra. Having lived with the children as a part of the design study process, the architects felt that eating, playing, sleeping, praying & exercising all in the same room was an extremely effective use of space that contributed to their sense of togetherness.

Carrying the same culture forward the design includes large multipurpose halls along with terrace gardens, skylights and courtyards.
