"Identifiable neighbourhoods were designed to generate a sense of belonging for its residents"

Spread over 117 acres of land, this residential complex developed by Makpan Associates is sited at Pimpri, Chinchwad a suburb of Pune city.

The complex is designed as clusters of 150 residential apartments to give each neighbourhood a sense of community and identity. The apartments are arranged around semi private courtyards to create positive open spaces for the residents. Stepped elevations and private terraces for the apartments result in an interesting skyline specific to the neighbourhood. Gateways are designed to mark the entry to the neighbourhoods & limit the boundary.

Thick plantations of trees and green belts are planned around the residential area, schools and hospitals to reduce the sounds from busy roads & activity zones like shopping malls, multiplexes and playgrounds. A separate vehicular and pedestrian road network is planned.

Tremendous care is taken to employ techniques for the reuse and recycle of water, energy efficiency, waste recycling and to provide for human comfort through naturally ventilated spaces, daylight and architectural features to reduce heat gain.

In addition to the residential clusters, basic amenities like the convenience shopping, school and club have been proposed in Phase one. Phase two includes a mall, a hospital a five star hotel and the development of an SEZ zone. Additionally, a science center was proposed within the development that would enhance the property by creating this destination center for the city.
