Priya Cement International School

Priya Cement International School is a CSR initiative by Rain Cement Limited – Pragnya Priya Foundation, located in the rural setting of Ramapuram, Telangana. Planned on a 4-acre site adjacent to a cement plant, the campus is organized with a clear spatial hierarchy: a welcoming public front zone comprising sports facilities, social steps, and an amphitheatre, and a quieter academic zone positioned on higher southern ground. Entry from the north-east follows Vastu principles, while a linear, grid-based layout ensures cost effi ciency, fl exibility, and a strong visual presence from the approach road. Academic spaces are arranged by age groups and connected through a central administrative spine, with service zones along the southern edge acting as a visual and dust buff er from the factory.

The learning environment is structured around multiple courtyards that evolve in scale and character from playful spaces for younger students to more formal courts for senior students, with the administrative courtyard at the center. Singly loaded corridors, north-facing classrooms, and climate-responsive facades enable ample daylight, cross-ventilation, and thermal comfort. Earth-toned exteriors and dense landscape buff ers respond to the dusty context while minimizing maintenance. Designed in compliance with CBSE and fi re safety norms, the project integrates passive design strategies, rainwater harvesting, and softscaped courtyards, with sustainability measures aligned toward achieving an IGBC rating.
