Reliance Administration building

"A column free and open plan office space allows flexibility of usage"

The Reliance Administration building is proposed to be built in the Sasan Ultra Mega Power Plant (SUMPP) in Madhya Pradesh and is the main corporate office for that power plant.

The administration building was designed to create an energetic and compact office space, which would have its own character and distinct identity.

A linear office building was conceptualised with the reception and canteen separated from the core structure (office space) to provide silent and active zones.

The reception was designed as a double-height space that was accentuated with a grand staircase at one end.

The office floor plate is compact and column free which allows flexibility in usage. Larger North facing windows are provided for glare free light. The highest floor, which will house the higher managers cabins, have small landscaped terraces.

The overall shape of the structure encompasses a landscaped garden in the center. All office floors overlook this garden space to achieve a sense of harmony with the natural environs.

A 300-seater auditorium has been provided for seminars and training with proper attention to acoustics.

A conscious attempt has been made to have an energy efficient building by using local materials, architectural features and roof gardens that reduce the rapid absorption of heat and are in harmony with nature.
